Recent changes to the Tri-Town Website
will be posted here. If you had a problem with something, check
here to see if the problem has been fixed.
Feb. 1 > Liebeslied
would not download because of a naming error, fixed.
Feb. 2 > An extra
nonsense email was being sent to BBS registrants, fixed.
Follow-ups on the BBS were attributed wrong, fixed.
Feb. 6 > DVD ordering pages added.
Feb. 7 > No more Logins! After you have registered once
you will not have to login again to use the BBS or Ad boards.
Remaining problems that have been noticed or reported
1 Final registration screen only appears once. If your
registration number doesn't arrive fast enough and you decide to exit
your browser, you will have to redo the registration. Whatever
you have entered will be lost and the authentication number you get
will no longer be valid.
3 File access error message appears sometimes when sending
email. This can happen when several people are registered at the
same time or if your connection has slowed down, momentarily.
When this happens, go back to the previous page (use the browser back
button) and try again.
4 Video and Audio downloads can be slow. They may not
be slow for you, so give it a try. You can always cancel it.
5 Audio files are .WAV files, not MP3s. The
multimedia players will play them just as well. I'm still
trying to get the digital audio directly from my MPEG2 files, but
haven't found a way yet. Instead what I've had to do is to
record WAV files from the earphone jack of my camera.
6 Video looks squished. Try using the Windows multimedia
player instead of Quicktime. You'll have to change some file
settings.
7 Video is jerky and the audio is broken up. Quicktime 6
and Sony products have serious compatibility problems.
Eventually I'll have some other file formats to choose from, but there
is no guarantee they will not have similar problems if Quicktime 6 is
involved, since they all come from a Sony camera.
